NEEP-AI sits under the Federal Department of Agricultural Extension (FDAE) in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. It is the public front door for farmers, extension workers, and other users who need trusted information and advisory.
What the platform is for
Anyone can read institutional pages: about, news, events, programmes, FAQs, and contact. People who need files or FarmerChat create an account and use the user portal. FDAE staff do not use this site to publish content; they use a separate admin panel.
Mandate
- Give farmers a simple path to advisory support that can be counted.
- Give extension workers a place to find approved manuals and how-to notes.
- Keep the service in government hands, with open-source code and portable hosting.
Languages
This first release is in English. Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, and Pidgin can be switched on later without rebuilding the site.
